Colon Guard is a combination of three antimicrobial substances: allicin, cinnamaldehyde and caprylic acid. It has lower concentrations of allicin and cinnamaldehyde than its sister products, Garlic Freeze Dried and Alli-Cinn but contains caprylates as the third component. This combination is aimed especially at fungal infestations and overgrowth in the large intestine. All three antimicrobials have potent activities against fungi and yeasts including Candida albicans. Additionally, the magnesium and calcium salts of caprylic acid are resistant to digestion and absorption and so pass through to the large intestine where they are functional. This unique combination gives Colon Guard antimicrobial activity throughout the intestine with emphasis on the colon. Colon Guard is appropriate for anyone with dysbiosis that is predominantly in the large intestine and also for those with identified Candida overgrowth who require a gentle but effective broad spectrum approach.*
Note: Unlike Garlic Freeze Dried and Alli-Cinn, Colon Guard will have a detrimental effect on probiotic strains so the HLC supplements need to be taken at different times of day to Colon Guard.
Non-active ingredients: Vegetable magnesium stearate, silica. Capsule: cellulose & water.
Recommended intake: One capsule taken twice daily with meals for two weeks to help re-establish the normal balance of the gut microflora. Once normal balance is established, take one capsule daily with a meal or as professionally directed.
